Chloe Marie Lloyd

Chloe Marie first found her love of photography while still at school.  Chloe Marie had been given a camera and a phone as Christmas presents, and loved to capture images of her family, friends, pets, flowers and scenery. Upon leaving school Chloe Marie wanted to pursue a career within the arts and photography, so undertook courses to assist her chosen career path.

One of Chloe Marie’s main pieces of work, is a photobook, titled “Who am I without her”, the book was a collaboration of work, the images were taken not only by Chloe Marie but also, by her daughter, who was four at the time. The images captured by her daughter, were from a child’s perspective, none were altered.  The uniqueness of a child’s blurry vision of the world around her, provide a rare outlook of a child’s perception, which is uplifting.

At present Chloe Marie’s practice focuses on three main themes - motherhood, family and her daughter. Chloe chose these themes as she has a profound unconditional love for her daughter and wanted to present images displaying her recently new journey as a mother. Her main aspect is documenting her daughters’ day to day activities and daily life. Chloe’s ongoing body of work “What Mothers Do Best “is all structured surrounding these topics, her uniqueness is to produce and showcase her images in black and white, to create timeless pieces, audiences of all ages can appreciate and relate to.
